When it comes to authentic experiences in Turin, we're always on the lookout for places that stand out. We've talked about our favourite pubs, and now it's time to shine a light on a culinary gem: Smith's British.
Smith's British
Smith's British is more than just a restaurant; it's a genuine taste of Britain right here in Turin. We've been there a few times, and it's quickly become a favourite. Adam, the owner, runs a fantastic place with a warm atmosphere and, crucially, great beer.
While the food menu offers a range of traditional British dishes, for us, it's often about the classics. If you're like John and looking for that authentic experience, you'll be happy to know that their fish and chips are a standout – perfectly battered and always satisfying.
At Maison Guida, we've always drawn inspiration from various sources, and the British fashion scene, particularly Vivienne Westwood, has been a significant influence on Marika's design philosophy. Our Beppe Trousers, with their playful reinterpretation of tailoring, and the Worlds End Tailcoat, a bold take on ceremonial dress, both carry that distinctive Vivienne Westwood spirit, filtered through Turin craftsmanship. It's this blend of tradition and a quietly rebellious edge that we find so compelling, and it's a spirit we appreciate finding in other authentic spaces like Smith's British.
It's a place that genuinely brings a piece of Britain to Turin, and we highly recommend a visit.
