A portrait that echoes the iconography of the punk-couture muses of the '80s: a doll's face, a direct gaze, wavy hair under an oversized top hat. The drawing was made in pen on a plain sheet of A4 paper, an original work bought from the hugely talented independent artist Valentina Formisano, and screen-printed onto cotton in Turin. The incredible nervous, fine line of the original stays legible on the fabric, with variations in intensity, stronger in some places, softer in others, that are the signature of hand printing, not a flaw to correct: so every tee carries a print slightly different from the others.

- Hand screen printing faithfully reproduces the variations in intensity of the original pen drawing: it's not a flaw but part of the craft, and it makes every tee slightly different from the others. Also, print after print the screen runs low on ink, and it's up to the printer's feel to top it up.
