Biella is ninety minutes north of Turin. It is a small city in the foothills of the Alps that has been producing wool since the thirteenth century. This is not marketing. This is history.
We source from three mills. We have visited each of them more times than we can count. The relationship is not transactional. It is generational.
Good fabric doesn't need explanation. You feel it once and you understand.
What Makes It Different
Biella wool is combed, not carded. The fibres are aligned in parallel, which gives the fabric its characteristic smoothness and drape. It wrinkles less. It breathes more. It ages better.
We pay more for it. About forty percent more than equivalent weight fabrics from other regions. Our clients can tell the difference. That is the only justification we need.
