Every collection begins not with a sketch, but with a feeling. For AW2025, that feeling was the weight of a Turin winter — the cold light through atelier windows, the smell of wool, the particular silence of November mornings.
The Fabric Comes First
We source our fabrics before we design. Marika walks the showrooms in Milan each spring, touching bolts of cloth, holding them up to the light. The AW2025 collection started with a single piece of double-faced cashmere from a mill in Biella that has been weaving since 1887.
The cloth tells you what it wants to become. Your job is to listen.
From that fabric came the Bella Oversized Trench. The weight of it demanded structure. The softness of it demanded restraint.
The Atelier in November
Our atelier is on the ground floor of a building in Vanchiglia, the neighbourhood east of the city centre. The light in November comes low through the windows, casting long shadows across the cutting table.
During the shoot, we worked with a photographer who has documented Turin craftspeople for twenty years. She understood immediately that we were not shooting clothes — we were shooting the process.
