🌸 It All Started This Way: A Fisherman’s Pants and a Dream Island! 🌸

It all began with a torn pair of fisherman pants from Thailand. A friend asked me to fix them, but they were too far gone. “They look easier to remake,” I said, even though I’d never sewn with a machine before.

At the time, I was a former fashion and theatre costume student, and something sparked in me. I grabbed an old bed sheet and hand sewed a prototype. It worked.
That same friend, who had a small flat in Procchio on the Island of Elba, told me about the artisans who sold their pieces along the seafront during the day and night. “Let’s do it,” he said.

We bought a sewing machine, some fabric, and secured a summer vending permit on May 5th, 2005. Two weeks later, we left with 30 finished trousers, the machine, and big hopes.

What happened next changed everything.
